Shirui Lily,a typical variety of lily is grown on the top of the kashong peak. Shirui Lily, locally known as TIMRAWON. It was discovered in 1946 by Late FRANK KINGDON WARD. Shirui Lily won the coveted Royal Horticulture society's award of Merit and Prestigious prize at the chelsea Flower Show' England in 1950. Lilium Mackliniae is the Botanical name of Shirui Lily.
On 21 March 1988, Manipur State declared Shirui Lily as the state flower. Shirui Lily is seasonal flowering plants and blooms best in the middle month of May till June.
