First 100 in the books! #IMTUF gives you every pennies worth of beautiful scenery. I had a plan and executed it as I had in my mind a thousand times before the actual race. I started dealing with IT band issues around mile 25 which persisted throughout the entire race. I ended up rolling my ankles multiple times at which had me mostly walking the final 40-ish miles with swollen ankles, the final 15 of which I could barely even walk. If not for Brady giving me his trekking poles I'd probably not had the ability to actually make it in.
All in all I'm proud, I'm disappointed and I'm a better man for all of it. I'm proud that I was able to keep the jokes going throughout the long dark cold night. I'm proud that I was able to think clearly and logically the entire race. I'm proud that I was able to finish those final 15 miles although I could literally barely walk. I'm disappointed that I couldn't truly test myself on time. I know I had a really good time in me. I'm disappointed that I couldn't give my pacers more miles of fun running and less exposure to the cold night/morning. I'm disappointed that I left Rachael waiting at aid stations, wondering where I was and if I was okay. But with it all, I'm a better man. I learned that I do have that inner drive, that ability to dig so deep, the desire to want something so bad and enduring whatever it takes to achieve it.

Burr! It's cold today. Which means the end of the year is not too far off. Don't let your dental benefits expire without using them! The end of the year becomes extremely busy with people rushing to make their appointments, and often they can't find a spot. We highly recommend making your appointment ASAP to ensure you get cleanings, and procedures done before December 31st. #bridgetowerdental
