Day 36/80 Leg Day
Leg day is my favorite! I love being able to lift heavier weights! .
Did you know there are a ton of benefits when you work your legs? Here are a few important benefits:
1. You’re getting some cardio & core action
Many leg exercises are compound movements, which means they engage many muscle groups and they also really activate your core! Additionally, lower body exercises get your heart rate up as well for a bit of cardio while strength training — a real time-saver.
2. Leg day helps you lose weight
Your leg muscles are the biggest muscle group in your body. The more you train them, the more energy is needed to move them. This means that no matter what activity you do — which means you burn calories!
3. Leg training prevents lower back pain
Did you know that back pain is often caused by weak stabilizing muscles? .

Rain and cold temps kept inside on the treadmill this morning for most of my miles. After class I was able to get a few miles outside...found some serious hills and see how fast the creek was moving thanks to all the rain. I more day of class as two more nights and I’ll be homeward bound. Fingers crossed time goes fast. Day 36 of #80dayobsession means leg day and heavy weights. My butt and legs have been in a constant state of soreness for 36 days in case you were wondering
Day 36. LEGS done as a late workout. I LOVE the convenience of working out at home. I had an early and busy work morning and my workout had to wait. I love working out early but my schedule doesn’t always allow for that. No big deal!
Carb cycle day (yesterday) was so great! Today I had so much energy doing my workout! My legs burned but I just loved every move!
I seriously have not felt this good in two years! I’m finding myself so much more patient with my body because I know I’m doing everything possible to feed it well and give it the exercise and sleep it craves. What a journey! It might take me 4 x 80 days to reach my goal but who cares? The process is so awesome because I feel so good and I’m so much more productive in the other areas of my life because of it!
