2 of my most favorite people at our favorite place😍😍

Randi_Blair (@randi_blair)

To many this is just a cute picture of a young boy getting his braces. But to my husband and I this is a picture of an once infant boy that was severely abused that now need braces due to the abuse of his birth parents. Abuse is ugly and it haunts and follows behind you even as you grow!
I'm blessed and honored that the Good Lord has blessed my husband and I to be the forever parents to Elias and his siblings. To love and nurture them. To protect and guide them.
He heard the price that we would have to pay for his teeth to be corrected. He looked up to my husband and said, "Daddy, you would do that for me." My husband's response, man I would do that and more! You are worth it and we are your parents and that's what good parents do, they take care of their children!
Elias needed to be reassured that we loved and would protect him and he is now experiencing true love and dedication.
Son, you are worth it and I can't wait to see how your story helps others! You are resilient and a strong fighter!

What better time to give this scared boy a home than the holidays? #illbehomeforchristmas #adoptionrocks #petofthe week #adoptdontshop #adoptionsaveslives #yumaaz #yuma #humanesocietyofyuma #hsoy #adopt #saveoneuntiltherearenone

Lindsay Lacy (@thelavendersociety)

I love this time of year. The songs, the lights, and all the yummy smells! These gems are my favorite to throw in the diffuser to get the whole house smelling like Christmas time. ⠀

What are your favorite Christmas time diffuser blends??⠀

There aren’t words to describe how it feels watching him discover the joy of this season and all it brings. We love you all at Lifetime and hope your holidays are filled with joy and peace that lasts throughout the year ❤️ With so much gratitude from Michael, Mandie, and Wesley"

Squeezed in a quick celebratory breakfast for Amaris this morning as it’s her Adoption Day! We love you sweet girl and so thankful for your life! #adoptionrocks #adoptionday #fostercareadoption #amarisjoy

Richard's Chicken Leg (@richards_leg)

Sometimes I love chicken legging in comfort. This bed is my favorite. This extension isn't that great, not the best posture, I'd say 6/10. I'm going to be the best I can be. #dontgiveafuck

Marta Joy {mama} (@chosenforjoy)

Because ... what’s more fun than making play-doh with a cute friend? 👧🏻👦🏻

FAQ:
1. Do I have to live in Georgia to be eligible to adopt? The answer is NO YOU DON'T. While you will have to work through both your home state and Georgia to provide information, you are able to adopt across state lines.

2. How much does it cost to adopt from Georgia?
Very little when you are adopting from #fostercare since the state pays all the legal fees, home study, and costs associated with the paperwork side. You would be responsible for travel costs, household stuff (beds, toys, etc) and getting the required physicals and up to date shots done.

3. How long would adoption through foster care take?
The paperwork side can be finalized in as little as 6 months. Sooner if you have a current homestudy done. The real time wait is the transition which normally happens gradually. You start by meeting the kids on a weekend then they come spend weekends or school breaks with you then they are placed with you full time. From there you could have upwards of six months before the adoption is final to give everyone time to adjust.
