It is not uncommon to gain water weight/ have lots of inflammation when starting a lifting program. This is why I HEAVILY rely on pictures the first 4-8 weeks of a program. I tell my clients it takes 4-8 weeks of proper training and recovery protocol to see the scale start to reveal your “true” weight. Especially if you aren’t doing daily cardio or eating in a major deficit! (I do know you can lose weight quicker than I am. What I’m doing is thinking longterm!)

At 130ish I’m eating pancakes, pasta and loads of other “bad” foods. When the going gets tough, I have things to adjust to lose weight. If I use all the tools now-> I would be burnt out!
