This one is by the marvellously talented @imagemakerandy in our studio session. It certainly makes me want to eat it!! .

I think this cucumber stir-fry was probably one of the most regular dishes at home when I was growing up. Traditionally it's done with some dried shrimps, which lends amazing umami to add to the delicate sweetness of the cucumber. These days I add flavour and colour to the dish using Quorn 'bacon pieces', which does the job just as well! .
.
Again, simplicity!! Cucumber, Quorn bacon pieces, a pinch of salt and a few drops of toasted sesame oil-- simple magic!! .

Visited the oriental store today and these yummy little buns asked me to bring them home... .

They're just white bread rolls with spring onion, twisted and shaped to look so fancy. They are steamed, as many Asian buns and rolls, so there's no golden crust at all. I hardly ever eat white bread, but when it comes these memory foods, well... .

If you have a chance to visit an oriental shop, you'll find buns and rolls of all sorts of flavours and fillings (both sweet and savoury) in the freezers. Give them a go & enjoy your food adventure!! .

VISIT GRANDPARENTS.💗 Grandpa he was a soldier who stayed some years in the north of China and joined the North Korea War when he was young. He taught me how to make dumplings; he told me the stories happened in the war and in his military group. He sticked to his walking exercise everyday for years until the car accident. He was so happy to see me standing in front of him this morning. The smile, heart-warming.
