I will continue reviewing sunscreen but to change things up, I'm reviewing different micellar waters, some high-end and low-end. No cute picture today though. Here, I'm reviewing two drugstore brands, Garnier and L'Oreal. I bought these two without really looking at the ingredients list but purposely bought ones geared towards sensitive skin or for all skin types. Once I came home, I looked up the L'Oreal Group and realized that this large company owns so many brands, including THESE TWO!! So guess what?
They performed the same. Both easily removed Stila eyeliner off my wrist.
Both have the SAME ingredients list in the same order.
Both have similar branding. Just look at their labels, they promise almost the same things.
Both had that slippery, oily residue left after removing the eyeliner. •
Garnier cost $6.99 while L'Oreal cost $8.99. Not a big difference but for the same product, you're charging different prices due to the name.
Different colored caps and bottle shapes
I wasn't a fan of either because I didn't like the oily residue the silicone and or isohexadecane left on my skin. I definitely felt I needed a second cleanse. •
Pictures of the bottles, eyeliner test before and after for both, and identical ingredients lists.
It's been so long since I posted, so I thought my page was due an update.
For the past 2-3 weeks I have continued to try and use up the products I already have open and it has now been around 4 months since I bought a single item of skincare
This picture contained all the products I have used over the past couple of weeks, and my skin is definitely thanking me for a more consistent, regular routine compared to being hit with different products daily
Major shout-outs to: @super.facialist Vitamin C+ Cleansing Oil - the first Cleanser I purchased when my skincare journey began and why did I ever buy anything else? This is @avon_uk ANEW Clinical Advanced Retexturising Peel - oh the sting is real with these babies, but so is that exfoliation power
I think these two products have absolutely been the back-bone to my routines and have provided the most noticeable difference in my skin
Seriously, the BEST micellar tonic out there. Will take your makeup off with ease, even LipSense and Younique 3D mascara. Best part, no rinsing required. Great for the gym after a workout. PM me for more!
