Despite not wanting to leave the house this morning or face the day at all, it turned out to be an ok day. Work was a good distraction and it was really fun helping the kids with their cookery class all afternoon ๐Ÿ˜Š

So yeah, I feel horrendously anxious about taking this week off the gym. I'm getting the usual 'oh my god you're gonna gain loads of weight' thoughts going through my head and it can be hard to drown those out. My ED automatically wants to restrict. I feel like if I'm not working out then I need to reduce how much I eat! It's stupid and I'm trying hard to ignore those thoughts!

Taking a break (even if it's only a week) is hard but very much needed. Yes I'm not physically tired, or achy but mentally I know it's the best thing. I need to just chill and as much as exercise sometimes helps relieve stress, I know in this case it won't!
Look after you mind as well as your body!

Pro Tip: have been using less liquid to cook my quinoa for fluffier results: the magic number is 1 cup of quinoa to 1 plus 3/4 cup of liquid. For more nutrition: cook your quinoa in bone broth or homemade chicken or veg stock. Major flavor!๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป

*Cinnamon Muffins (makes 24 mini muffins):
In Vita-mix or food processor, mix:
- 1 cup Medjool dates
- 2 bananas
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1/2 cup egg whites
- 3/4 cup almond meal
- 2 Tbsp coconut oil
- 3/4 cup vanilla Perfect Fit protein
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Spray mini muffin tin with coconut oil spray, bake 20 min @350
