Rose scented hemp seed breakfast bars! I love floral notes, especially when honey is involved! These deliciously sweet & easy bars can be made a day in advance. Then snack away lil monsters cause they taste like candy
Gimme bars, go:
In a bowl mix smash 3 dates until pulverized. Then add drizzle of raw local honey, coconut shreds, hemp seed, small scoop of almond butter, sprinkle of chia seeds, splash of food grade rose water ( not facial mist! Lol) and salt. Mix throughly, then press onto a cutting board and form into a flat square. Cut into bars and store in the fridge stacked with waxed paper in between each bar. Enjoy!

In @civileats article Will the Amazon-Whole Foods Deal Affect Local Food Producers?, Danielle Beurteaux writes, “Since @amazon acquired Whole Foods for $13.7 billion in August, however, Huntsberger and other small, regional producers have been asking questions about how the online retail giant will incorporate the supermarket chain into its business. Recent moves to centralize the decisions about product assortment—as well as changes to producer participation in in-store promotions—have raised concerns about how local businesses will fit into the next-generation Whole Foods.
Though the grocer has not made any explicit announcements about its plans, learning about Whole Foods’ work with local producers on its website has gotten increasingly difficult. As some sharp-eyed observers have noticed, “local” is now hard to find on the site—but “savings” and “new lower prices” are featured. And locating the retailer’s local program takes dedicated search or a visit to the site map.
While some worry that the “Amazonification” of Whole Foods could require local producers to compete against larger food companies with lower prices—potentially resulting in a dilution of authentic local products—others see opportunity for independent grocers to step up their efforts.”
Contact your nearby @wholefoods to ask them about their policy to support local food producers. And be sure to support local farmers and independent grocers! 🥦

Being a coach is a special privilege that few have the opportunity to experience. Coaches take diamonds in the rough and polish them to be precious gems. We can see the potential in people just like a sculpture can see the statue within the pillar of marble. .
Each and every one of us has the potential to be great. In order to reach that we must not only put in some work, we need to effectively use the resources and opportunities that have been provided. With [or without] a coach, what is the next opportunity will you take advantage of?
Well today was the earliest I’ve woken up in about 2 weeks.. about 6:50am because Lexy needed to go out (normally she’ll sleep in with me) but anyway I made Strawberry oats — took about 7 strawberries chopped them up and added them to 3/4 cup of oats with enough water to cover it... added a scoop of @furtherfoodcollagen because this stuff works wonders!! A scoop of ground cinnamon and mixed up until it became thicker. Topping it off with a more sliced strawberries, pumpkin seeds, and @salbachia chia seeds!! •
The only thing getting me through this semi-terrible week is the fact that I get to sit and have a glass of wine with my best friend tonight, and I’ll be in NYC with my boyfriend this weekend
Coffee in bed this morning... I swear once the cold weather hits I stay huddled up under a blanket using @victoriamyers_ jacked up java recipe from her blog, the first time I’ve added fat to my coffee & I’m DIGGING IT. Hopefully it gives me some extra brain power for my exam later today wishing everyone a slow & cozy morning
