Given the fact we see ourselves in the mirror everyday, it's hard to see the changes in our bodies due to our workouts that everyone else sees. Now personally I am not a huge fan of a weight scale determining if we're making progress our not - instead I prefer to use pictures. So, I scrolled back through our 100's of IG posts to find the pic I posted last Thanksgiving morning during my workout and tried to emulate the pose to see if I could really see a difference when it comes to 365 days of nutrition and working out. I know the scale says I'm up significantly from last year, but I wanted to see the visual changes. What do you see? Even as someone who identifies openly that I battled with body dysmorphia in my my early 20's I'm pretty damn pumped! Actually, I am SUPER depleted, dehydrated, and 16 hours plus FASTING in this year's pic so any bodybuilding fan knows what that means. But I digress...the point is for the majority of this year I made my nutrition and fitness a priority in my Recovery and my life. It totally paid off - not in one day, not in one month, but working hard did pay off. Remember...each person's definition of fitness (and potentially recovery) is going to be different from the next person's...so while this may not be your definition of what you want your fitness to entail, it absolutely shows what being consistent more often than not can accomplish in a given year. -
