Anyone Else Tired of Working for the Weekend? Do you really think you were put here to work day in & day out, pay bills, have kids, scrape by, and only get 1-2 weeks of vacation/year (and even then, most cant afford to really 'go on vacation', so they just sit home or do stuff around the house during their time off). It’s a sad way to live. Trading 5 out of every 7 days of our adult lives for enough money to live on. But that’s how the vast majority of people choose to invest their time. They wake up every Monday morning in a state of deep dread, and just try to hang on till Friday night, when they can finally live their lives for 48 hours.
Now there’s nothing wrong with looking forward to our time off. I know I love to anticipate vacations and fun activities. But I don’t hate my work. I love what I do. No one tells me how to spend my time but me. And I don’t have to do anything that I don’t want to do.
Meanwhile studies show that: - 70% of employees HATE their jobs
- Monday mornings are when the most heart attacks happen
- T.G.I.F. has been a common American slang since the early 1970s
What this tells me: Too many people are working for the weekend!
So what’s the answer? After all, everyone has to make a living, unless they were born mega-wealthy… right?
Sure, but not the way most people think.
The idea that we have to trade 71.43% of our days (Monday-Friday) just for a measly paycheck, has never been LESS true than it is today.
Because of a little thing called the Internet.
There are thousands of ordinary people right now living job-free, making their own schedules. and making more money than they ever could working for someone else.
With all the exciting projects ahead, I'm still needing a boost to start the day!
