LAGANA Nistia is upon us. The 40 days til Easter fast begins tomorrow. Let the lent begin! As lovers of all things traditionally Greek, we will be catering to those who are doing Nistia. Take our Lagana for example; Widely known as the "Kathari Deftera" or "Shrove Monday" bread, delicious Lagana is only eaten once a year according to Orthodox tradition. But at The Good Filo, you can enjoy this unique traditional Greek treat during the whole of lent. Plus, we have a sun-dried tomato, olives, oregano and extra virgin olive oil version too.
