We woke up early today to head back to Chiang Mai with a quick stop in a little place called Pai along the way. It's the cutest little town but unfortunately we had to leave our Canadian mates there as they were to start their next leg of their journey. We said goodbye and made our way back through the rest of the windy gorge before arriving 4 hours later. After a lovely lunch with Sit and the other two from our group, we ventured off to our new home for the next few days where I had the best shower of my life. .
This experience was amazing. I know my posts have been brief and fairly raw (was not having a bar of the rain or leeches on day one) but I'm feeling so grateful and so glad I did it. The people we stayed with were so kind and getting to immerse myself in their culture and day to day lives really made me think about my own. Thank you to all who made that hike what it was.
P.s I'm so thankful for showers, toilets and a leech-less country. #travel#travelpost#asia#thailand#travelling#travelblog#instagood#chiangmai#instatravel#photooftheday#wanderlust#pictureoftheday#gopro#adventure#vsco#vscocam#instagood#instadaily#travelgram#gadventures

Certainly not the worst view in the world! After a 3 hour hike straight up a mountain in Amphoe Mae Taeng, we were treated to this incredible sunset. Sometimes it is the destination that makes the journey worth it.
