Tokyo doesn't do half measures
Or: "Why Tokyo is my favourite city, chapter 5/7"
This week is all about Tokyo, as I post one reason every day why Tokyo is one of my favourite cities.
One way to describe Japanese culture would be "deceptively simple". Many activities may seem simple on the surface, but the Japanese are dedicated, and don't do anything half heartedly. Whether writing haiku poetry, growing bonsai trees or drinking tea, it is done to perfection through a kind of appealing minimalism that is shock full of dedication and thoughtfulness.
