LISS vs HITT?
__
Which one is optimal? There's a few things we need to consider before answering this questions as it is individual.

▶️ How much time do you have? If you are busy and are UNABLE to perform long amounts of LISS then HIIT will be better for you.
__
▶️ WHAT are you goals? If you're just trying to get a better cardiovascular output then either will be fine as long as heart rate is high enough. However if you're entering a WEIGHT loss phase then you need to consider impact on training.
__
▶️ Which do YOU prefer? Some of my clients just like to get it done, so I'll prescribe them HIIT, other hate it, so I prescribe them LISS. It HAS to be something you ENJOY or at least can get on with.
__
Overall there's pro and cons to both, by answering a few simple questions you can identify which will be OPTIMAL for YOUR lifestyle.
__
One point I want to raise is the IMPACT cardio has on training. ALL types of cardio WILL take training energy away, however some will have more impact than others.
__
For me HIIT absolutely destroys me, I feel like I can't move afterward and I REALLY feel the hard work later in the day. However someone who has a predisposition to this sort of training for example an athletics competitor might BENEFIT more from doing this kind of cardiovascular activity.
__
EVERYONE is different, one method does NOT fit all. We all might start out on the same plan, but through tweaking things as you go via gathering FEEDBACK from clients or yourself you can help devise the most OPTIMAL plan for your goals.
