Like all the other evenings, today again I was welcomed with the sounds of live aarti being played on his television as loudly as possible. But unlike all the other evenings he was not resting today. He was sitting straight with his pashmina shawl on his legs. He was way too excited today. And I mean it. He was laughing. I wondered what in aarti made him laugh like that. And he gestured to the television where the vaishnodevi aarti was being telecasted.
The shrine was decorated, eminently decorated on the occasion of navratras. That too with fruits! Yes fruits.
"Wekh khatte meethe amb... Leechiyaaan... santre...Laal rang de angoor... Majaaa aaagayaaaa Abhi Seth.... Maja aaagaya... Wekh wekh, hahahaha"
Do you see his excitement too? Do you see the child in him?
Just the sight of something he loves can make him feel elated. May we all never let the child in us die...! May we all laugh like that with just a sight of something we love. May there be happiness around.
