Yes learning (and unlearning) about racism, our privilege, opression and inequality is uncomfortable. And confronting. And painful. All deeply so at times. But so is learning or doing nearly anything worth doing from driving a shift car, to going to an event full of strangers, to talking about sex (really talking about it - all of it), saying no, navigating all the 'isms', starting and growing businesses, your (more accurate) history and legal classes and on and on. It's uncomfortable and, well, given the past and how we got here, so it should be. It's not the job of anyone else to make that more comfortable for you (and me). And it's the least important matter in all those conversations (though a clue might lie in your discomfort).
