Let the slow bonding process begin! Charlotte and Elsa are separated by a piece of glass, we are starting with simply associating each other with treats and good things. No aggression So far! 🐰💕🐰 #bonding #friends #rabbit #rabbits #rabbitsofig #rabbitsofinstagram #rabbitsworldwide #bunny #bunbun #bunnies #bunnylife #bunnybutt #bunniesofig #bunniesoftheworld #bunniesofinstagram #pet #pets #petstagram #petsofinstagram #animal #animals #animalsofinstagram #adoptdontshop #rescue #rescuebunny #friday #dutchbunny #hollandlop

The next family of tarantulas that I own is the Hapalopus genus and while this genus has a lot of species, only the "Pumpkin Patch" is common in the hobby. I have 2 little H. sp Columbia's and I was surprised as to how fast they grow. I got these earlier these year at 1/6th of an inch and now they are both pushing 1 inch. They are great eaters and would make a good second type tarantula. By no means are they defensive but they are pretty skittish. Pair being skittish with their speed and they are not ideal for a beginner. One interesting about this species is that they are born with their adult coloration/pattern. With most slings (Brachypelma, Grammostola, Lasiodora etc), you end up with slings that are a grey/brown/black color and they don't start showing adult coloration until they are over an inch. Not with these guys 😁 #spider #spiders #spidersofinstagram #tarantula #tarantulas #tarantulasofinstagram #fang_gang #venom #hapalopus #hapalopusspcolumbia #columbia #pumpkin #pumpkinpatch #pumpkinpatchtarantula #arachnids #arachnoboards #arachnophobia #potd #animalphotography #photography #wildlife #wildlifephotography #pets #petsofinstagram #animals #animalsofinstagram

THE RIVER PROJECT (@riverprojectnyc)

The long-clawed hermit crab (Pagurus longicarpus) is commonly found in local subtidal waters. Unlike most crab species, hermit crabs are unable to regenerate their shells as they grow, so they have to find increasingly larger shells from other animals, usually mollusks. If shells aren't available when a hermit crab needs to make the switch, it might even use debris like a bottle cap. This crab has adopted the shell of an oyster drill snail.

“The Sebastopol is readily identified by its feathers. Long, soft-quilled, curling feathers drape elegantly from its wings, body and tail. This modification in plumage is an example of breeding for a specific trait. The white variety of the Sebastopol is best known. Both males and females have pure white feathers that contrast with their bright blue eyes and orange bills and feet. Juveniles often have traces of gray. There are also gray and buff color varieties.”
