I would like to announce that, after a lot of heartbreak, I am moving my book The Sharpest Lives to be a mobile book instead of a printed one. I started out with this book in May, gleaming with pride that I had something that actually had my name on it in print. Unfortunately, not a lot of other people were impressed.
I spent nearly 2 years writing, developing, and then drawing Volume One through tireless hours at a job I hated and classes that didn’t interest me in the slightest. I still did 52 pages of hand-painted, hand written pages, not because I wanted the money but because I wanted to tell a story that I could be proud of and that other people could relate to.
Asha is confused, lost, and not at all oriented in this world, and neither am I…and that’s why I’m not giving up on her, my boy Phenex, or any of my characters. And I’m also not giving up because I love being an author, and I love being an artist even more, and I know that there are other people out there like me.
So, instead of packing up and just saying ‘fuck it,’ I am moving The Sharpest Lives: Volume One to my Gumroad Page. Through Gumroad, you will now pay half the price for my book, and will receive a file that you can read on the actual website or download as a PDF to your computer.
I will also be moving my two zines, There’s People Buried in My Backyard and Inland, to digital hopefully before the end of the year.
I am going to keep my BigCartel up for anyone that actually still cares about getting a hard copy of any of my books, though I highly doubt it. I’ll leave it up for another month or so and then delete it.
Thank you for even the smallest whisper of support I have gotten from any of you. And a huge thank you to the people who hold a hard copy of any of my books.
