My all time favorite restaurant in JB. They are really a variety of food here. Everywhere you go you just see food Haha. No exceptional, last stop for #dinner before going back Singapore. I wanted so much for their egg tarts actually, but by the time when we were there, it completely sold out. Ordered a "Hainanese Chicken Rice" it looked so good in the menu. But eventually, the chicken seem to be overly cooked. The meat very dry and hard. The side dish, "soya veggie" was a little salty perhaps due to the overly filled in soya sauce. But the soup was really good. We loved the fried fish skin. Five signature hawker dishes are introduced in year 2017 at The Lobby Lounge with the idea to bring the best hawker dishes in Singapore under one roof. Two new hawker classics, Bak Kut Teh by Legendary Bak Kut Teh and Beef Rendang by Rumah Makan Minang will be available from 20 Mar 2018 onwards.
On top of that, @shangrilasg is introducing the Heritage Weekend Pop-up Series, held once a month where local hawker will take center stage to showcase their classic local dishes. The first edition will be held tomorrow, 24 Mar 2018 which they have invited Springleaf Prata Place, one of the prata hawker stalls in Singapore to flip the prata at the live station.
