I put together this rainy day game for Aila, but it looks like the Booker and Scooter the Dachshunds have decided they like it too!
I made this from an inflatable kiddie pool from Amazon ($11), and two 100 packs of ball pit balls from Walmart. ($10 each). There's about 1/3 cup treats scattered across the pool. This is a great toy that has tons of uses from occupying a bored dog, to mental exercise, becoming comfortable with new textures, learning to rely on their sense of smell, and learning to work for rewards. This one is definitely a hit!
It's been a long hard week for my girl but with my help she's got through it
Sorry for the lack of updates this week, my girl was struggling just to make it day to day, the smaller things like posting on Instagram just slipped through the cracks.
Although my girl has struggled this week it doesn't mean I haven't had lots to do!
My girl went to college 2 days this week (today she normally has college but it's a teacher training day) so we are on a train on our way to Newcastle!
My girl can't wait to get up there and see her friends and I love it because my brother lives in Newcastle and we are going to stay with him so I get to play with my brother and if my girl doesn't need me to work I will hopefully get to go for an off duty walk to the beach!
I get off duty walks normally but they are normally just me and my girl, and there isn't a beach and the sea to play on in Northampton!
My girl is very proud of how well I've taken to the boring parts of being a working dog! I don't complain in long lessons at college or on the long train journeys we take, I lie quietly and keep an eye on my girl and most other passengers don't even notice I am here!
Yesterday I had a big responsibility while I was at college with my girl as she was struggling with home issues before she even came to college then in a lesson we watched 'I Daniel Blake' and my girl struggled with a lot of memories which came back during the film but I was incredible and gave alerts and cuddles when neccesary and even did a jump up when my girl was standing and ignoring my alerts! She is so proud of me
