Finally got to use my Valentine’s gifts today. I heard mixed reviews about the @toofaced@kandeejohnson I Want Kandee Palette but those neutral colors jumped at me when I saw them so I knew I had to get my hands on this. The packaging is adorable and feels like a candy tin can. This is supposed to smell like candy but unless my nose is off, there was barely any scent to it which was disappointing since I am used to the good smells of Sweet Peach and Chocolate Bon Bons. The palette is broken up into three quads of complimentary colors so that if you’re a beginner, you’ll have an idea of what colors to use together. There are three large “mixer” colors that can be used as a base, to change the shade of the other colors,or as a highlight. I used all three respectively. One of the downfalls was that there wasn’t a mirror. For me that’s a bummer because I like to hold the palette while using the mirror.
But let’s talk about these colors wow!!!! The mattes are all perfect as a transition shade and today I used Raspberry Cocoa which was one of the reasons I wanted this palette and it did not disappoint!! I used the mixer shade Ice Cream which has pink undertones to soften and blend it. On my lid I mixed two of the sparkly shades, Frosted Pink and Sugar Plum. I found that using my finger gave it more pigment and precise application. The formula is super blend able and buildable and and I can’t wait to try out all the colors.
The next best thing that happened was this @lauragellerbeauty 5 piece makeup kit that cane complimentary with the order. I used the Baked Highlighter which was so bitter and gave a beautiful soft glow and the Glamlash mascara which was AMAZING. I was able to apply THREE coats and it didn’t clump or flake and made my lashes beautifully long and separated. This will definitely be a repurchase for me. #beautyblogger#makeupreview#toofaced#iwantkandee#neutrals#lauragellar#bakedhighlighter#highlighter#thatglow#mascara#lashes#ulta
