The freak before the freak. Good players become great players in the dark. A lotta heart, discipline and consistency behind the scenes. You can't expect full hearted results with a half-hearted work ethic. It always comes down again to how bad do I want It, like really, being brutally honest?
Repost @strengthcoachmj The majority of basketball players need size and strength. It takes time, discipline and trust. The physical changes are possible! The picture on the left, 2013. The picture on the right, 2017. Roughly 40 pounds in 4 years. Amazing work by Giannis Antetokounmpo. #athletedevelopment#basketballperformance#strengthandconditioning#nba#pro
These are ball-handling skills, I've taught him, before. However, this time I was teaching, "precision over speed." Although both, precision and speed, are important developmental skills in basketball, the order in which they are developed, is crucial. I'm not a huge fan of using cones, but they come in handy in youth basketball....lol. The objective is to not hit the cones with the ball or your foot; controlling the ball and developing better footwork at the same time. The concept is, if you can control the ball, if you have precision, the speed with come. This is his first time trying this...he did well!! #conquerathletics#hardworkneverstops#proverbs134#ballhandling#basketballperformance#precision#speed
