SO excited to try out the 3Q hairdryer by @babylissuk I really want to be able to get that classic, smooth blow-dry finish using my hairdryer so I can avoid using a million products, so let's see how it goes! Plus, it's SO light, perf for these weak arms #GetYourBabylissLook#ad
This as you might guess is my vintage leather couch which deserves more care than what it has been given lately, but considering its state I wanted to use it as backdrop to discussion on what it means to be a responsible skincare blogger/IG'er/you tuber. I don't want to throw any shade so will not be mentioning names but lately I've noticed many routines including prescription retinoids like differin and in general the focus on active ingredients is extremely high in the skincarecommunity. Do you consider the fact that a reader that you know nothing about may take your advice and get that prescription and do real damage? Another issue is the routines on speed and the constant switching up of products. Added up this is not in my opinion responsible blogging. It's very easy to give advice and seem like an expert, but so many people end up with worse skin from exposing it to harsh products that are not meant for their skin type. You don't have acne if you have a few pimples or clogged pores, the idea that we all should walk around with porcelain flawless skin is absurd. How long do you test a product before you review it or even post it? Does it matter? Personally I enjoy reading and learning about skincare, but I am so over the drama, cultification of brands, excess products, quasi experts etc etc of the so called skincare community that I am considering deleting my account regularly, but then I don't get to rant to all you lovely ladies who I know agree. What happened to the simple cleanse, tone and moisturize? I'm 41 in two weeks so I'll add a serum or two, but as you know if you've been following me I'm downscaling drastically and have always been restriktive with acids and retinoid, maybe because I'm coming at skin care from more of a greenbeauty angle or maybe because I'm a skeptic at heart. If you read this whole rant, please share your thoughts. Maybe you think everyone's responsible for themselves, but in that case what's the point of all these product posts? #greenbbloggers#skincarecommunity#instaskincare#hudpleieanbefaling#bbloggers#skincareexpert#rant#producthype
