Well.... it's been a few weeks since the #bcwildfires tore through our ranch. It will take some time, obviously, but we will get over whatever challenge stands in our way to make our home as beautiful as it once was. We had to log nearly 700 acres, but we will plant trees, seed the land, and rebuild everything we lost so we can have cattle grazing again next summer. Even though views are different (ie. the image), the feeling of "home" remains as strong as ever here. If people doubt you, ignore them, push on, with friends and family, fight to achieve the dream you dream every night. #nofilter#bcwildfire#100milehouse#britishcolumbia#view#timeforwork
Two kestrels that were rescued after escaping one of B.C.'s biggest wildfires near Ashcroft have been released back into the wild. "Somehow," they survived by nesting inside a power pole as flames burned everything around them.
