When you need to look at things from a different perspective but right side up just isn't doin it for ya anymore it's so easy to get caught up in life and focus on problems or annoyances that may feel consuming at the moment, but in the bigger picture these will often become minuscule in due time and blend in as just another stroke of color that outlines your life I'm forever thankful to have training as an outlet because no matter what is going on around me, every time I set foot into a gym is another opportunity for me to improve and focus on something that is healthy and grounding for my mind and body ♀️ #thankfulthursday#grindandbegrateful
"It's week three - almost the end of it. I was watching a YouTube video by @emilyhaydenfitness after doing sprints a few nights ago, and it really resonated with me. In the video, Emily was doing track sprints in the later phase of her competition prep. She said:
'Anyone can run seven sprints. Not many people are willing to run eight.'
This was leading up to the show where Emily won her IFBB Pro Card.
This quote really stuck with me. Don't get me wrong - prep for me is its early stages. Things haven't become grueling yet. But every time I sprint, or lift, or prep my food late at night before bed, I think:
Go that extra mile.
Sprint for ten seconds longer.
Throw another plate on and lift heavier.
Pick up your speed and go harder.
We all have it within ourselves to be extraordinary. We all have the potential to change our own lives and the lives around us. We all have the capacity to exude joy and live a truly fulfilled life.
We just have to run that eighth sprint."
Joie de vivre.
