I often think of memory as fickle, mainly because I can't understand why we cling to heartache more than joy. But if I'm being honest, I love being able to go back and really put myself there. The ambient. The noises. The sounds. Your scent. The way your skin feels, it's like I'm right there, you know? Walking around that room. Looking at us. Hearing us. Hearing the quiet little in betweens. Seeing people walking, laughing. Then coming back to this moment and seeing what love is supposed to look like. It looks a lot like you and me. #letterstoisha
This month's @owlcrate was AMAZING! I almost hate to post this because I'm not entirely sure if everyone has received it yet BUT!
Seriously... I couldn't stand it any longer! ~MARCH 2017~
Sailors, Ships & Seas
What was inside? A beautiful compass pendant necklace designed by OwlCrate and produced by @TheGeekyCauldron !!! We received a spoiler early on and I was so stoked to find out we were going to get an amazing piece of bling this month!! I honestly can't have enough jewelry and this will be perfect for summer! It's so cute and fun!!! An adorable octopus notepad from @boygirlparty . There were two designs and my octopus was sporting a fun hat! This will be perfect for jotting messages or writing down quotes for my new book journal. Gorgeous mermaid scale washi tape made exclusively by @simplygilded . I've never used washi tape before so I'm ridiculously excited to get started on some crafty fun. A beautiful hand printed tea towel from @KitchStudios . This was a great idea and I'm so glad OwlCrate is starting to bring in new items. I love cute prints and adorable figurines but nothing beats having an item that is both stunning AND useful.
Still... I hated to use it in the kitchen and possibly have it get all dirty so... I turned it into a throw pillow! A monthly collectable @OwlCrate pirate themed button. A card advertising upcoming release, Song of the Current by @SarahTolcser . Right... So... This sounds absolutely epic and I'm definitely adding it to my never ending 'To Be Read' pile. (You can visit BookishBloomsbury.Tumbler.com/songofthecurrent to read an excerpt!!!) And .... The Daughter of the Pirate King by @TriciaLevenseller ! So glad I guessed correctly and this was chosen for this month's box!! I can't wait to get started on it! There was also a letter from the author . . .(Okay, I may be a little OCD but it was bent and, not going to lie, I did spend an hour or more feverishly trying to flatten it out...) . . . a signed book plate, and a cute temporary tattoo!
