Breast Implant Illness (@breast_implant_illness)

3 year old ruptured silicone implant... first we were told they last forever. Then we were told they last 10 years Many times they don't make it past a few. Once that silicone starts leaking into your body, it will ruin your life
@Regranned from @jchunmd1 - Total capsulectomy and removal of ruptured submuscular silicone implant. 12/6/2017. Sientra implants are made in Brazil by Silimed. Severely ripped right implant only 3 years after the insertion. High cohesive gel prevented significant spread which is typically seen when the entire shell of the implant is ripped. Silimed had significant manufacturing "problems " and Sientra is no longer distributing these implants. Maybe a good thing given the terrible condition of this relatively new(3 years) implant.

@Regranned from @breast_implant_illness - Post explant update @Regranned from @sargar16 - I'm resurfacing for a bit! I know I kept the reasons behind my surgery a bit vague, but I'm finally ready to share my story!

When I was 16, I was in a really severe car accident that resulted in a totaled car, a nearly severed foot (thank you to UGG boots for being on trend and thick enough to protect my foot), a long lasting back and neck injury, and most relevant to today, a destroyed chest wall and muscle.

Thanks to that accident, my right breast dropped dramatically, and I hated how I looked. At 22 years old, I consulted a plastic surgeon who recommended a lift as well as the use of implants to help support the chest wall as it healed and reattached to the proper location. If only I knew then what I know now.

Since that procedure 5 years ago, I've had intensifying back, neck, and shoulder pain as well as increased autoimmune symptoms. I did have an autoimmune condition prior to my implant surgery, but, I do believe that my immune system responded to these foreign bodies like invaders.

Recently, I'd been having lots of pain so I met with a reconstructive plastic surgeon, and we agreed that the implants should come out. I'm now on day three of my recovery from explant, capsulectomy, and lift surgery, and I know this was the best decision I could've ever made.

My fatigue, anxiety, under eye bags and dark circles, my back/neck/shoulder pain are GONE! I feel free! I feel like myself (and my age) for the first time in 5 years. I feel like I got my life back. Y'all, that's a NO FILTER picture, and I haven't showered or worn makeup in 3 days!

When I have some time, I'll post some AIP surgery recovery tips! But, in the meantime as I rest, I'm happy to answer any questions! Feel free to comment or DM me!

If you have breast implants and are planning to have them removed, do not let a surgeon tell you that your body will absorb the scar tissue capsules. They must be removed. We have seen countless women remain sick if the capsules are left behind. The capsules can hold bacteria and even silicone. They must be removed. To see a list of Surgeons that have proven to us that they do it properly, visit healing breast implant illness. Com

See that silicone glob... that will indeed get in your body. We see it happening every day where the silicone gets into lymph nodes. It can get into your organs and your brain. Breast implants are not safe. Never have been and never will be.

Breast Implant Illness (@breast_implant_illness)

Post explant update @Regranned from @kimannxo - **Extremely Personal Post** One month ago, I took the leap of faith to have my breast implants removed. When I decided to get them done I was in the best physical and mental state of my life. I had lost 120lbs, was in great shape, and had an abundance of energy at all times. Over the span of a year and ½ I had gained back 70lbs (all while continuing my healthy habits), fallen into countless bouts of depression, had severe anxiety, heart palpitations, shrieks of pain throughout my breasts, shortness of breath, chronic fatigue, brain fog, mood swings, inflammation, negative autoimmune symptoms, and the list goes on. I went to an endocrinologist, gastrointestinal Dr, two nutritionists, homeopathic metabolic specialist, had my thyroid tested 4 times, countless blood work, and the list goes on. All my labs came back text book. No one could figure out what was going on, but I knew in my heart something was wrong. I had come across a few articles in the past that talked about breast implant illness. I think on some level I always knew that it was the issue but I didn’t want to face it. About a month ago things took a turn for the worst. I could barely get out of bed every morning and my immune system was being attacked. I literally felt like I was dying. I went back to those articles and everything clicked. My body was rejecting the implants so I went to my plastic surgeon and didn’t turn back. The moment I got them out I could finally breathe again and within hours I could already feel the difference. Here I am a month out and I am feeling 100% myself again. My depression, anxiety, heart palpitations, inflammation, pain, fatigue, are all gone. Taking that leap of faith to have them removed was the best decision I have ever made. I am ready to move on with my life and be the best version of myself I can possibly be for my family, friends, and myself. I wanted to share my story because someone else’s post saved my life. The least I could do is pay it forward. Breast implant illness is real and I want to spread awareness in anyway that I can.

Breast Implant Illness (@breast_implant_illness)

@Regranned from @breast_implant_awareness - Breast Implants- The invisible poison to the eye -
Every Breast Implant on the market are made of a silicone shell . Whether they are saline, silicone , cohesive gel, gummy bear , they are made of silicone.
The silicone gel is not a single substance , it’s a fluid comprised of numerous toxic ingredients , such that it is better termed a chemical soup. The shell consists of 40 different TOXIC ingredients. Heavy Metals such as tin, zinc, platinum , lead, cadmium, mercury, arsenic just to name a few.
So toxic that somehow Breast Implants are
considered safe by the FDA , yet thousands of women are falling ill. Could this simply be by chance women are making this up, or is there something dark and sinister ? -
Did you know , Platinum crosses the blood brain barrier and damages brain cells ?
FYI- this is not public disclosure. Your plastic surgeon will not tell you this.
Dow Corning ( manufacturer of silicone) have been aware of the toxic effects of silicone since the 1950s, based on their own studies, but never published the data.
-
Stop, take a breath and understand the real risks and the possible complications. Get educated. Get smart. Look before you leap. Listen to that inner voice , understand the logic. There is nothing Natural about Breast Implants. You’ve been sold a LIE .
Let’s not forget about the financial burden with the repetitive surgeries and complications.
Let’s take a step back and stop playing Russian roulette with our bodies and love who we are , just as we are. Break free from the Matrix. -
It always boils down to this.
If you feel inadequate as a woman, the problem to address is not in your chest. If you ignore that, you are doomed to disappointment. A lot of people who think a cosmetic change like this is going to fix their lives end up discouraged and suicidal when they find they're still the same person with the same life. -
When you are in the habit of always finding fault with your body, you will never run out of faults to find. You will only find more and more as you get older. It's a trap, and changing your body won't get you out of it .

Post explant update:

@Regranned from @faith_family_fitness__ - See!! I do wear something other than gym clothes all of the time!
Although this pic does not show my entire head of hair it does do a pretty darn good job of showing the thickness around the front. Omg what a difference my hair growth has made since I tossed those toxic bags out of my body!
Getting my breast implants removed was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Not only do I FEEL sooo much better, I think overall I LOOK sooo much better!
I have not written on my blog for awhile (too long in my opinion). I have had a ton of life curveballs thrown my way and that was my priority. I will be doing an one year post-op update around my one year date and then plan to write regularly again.
Happy Friday!

Repost By ankarusskaya: Breast Implants Disease ☠️🤕☠️ #behindthescenes
A little over a year ago (09/2016) I made a very uneducated/stupid really is the word/ choice to put breast implants in my body. It was done in Coral Gables by CG cosmetics/Dr.Freiman, who never warned of the danger of implants!
Had I know I would spend the following year in the ER-s and doctors' offices, I would NEVER put the toxic bags in! - It started with GI issues, and internal bleeding, then hormones like thyroid, adrenals, severe fatigue, chest pains, accompanied by weight gain, vision changes, hair loss. - Autoimmune disease followed. Fibromyalgia. Blood work showed heavy metal toxicity (arsenic, mercury)
- Recently went to ER again and feel like I'm about to have a blackout 😴 The list of issues never ends, due to toxicity and inflammation and not surprisingly my scars never healed.
Allergan, the manufacturer of silicone implants, denied any fault and refused to pay for explant. And so did my doctor. They work in pairs! In 2017 FDA finally announced that implants cause ALCL- blood cells cancer associated with autoimmunity. I'm thankful to numerous BI disease FB groups as well as to @russian_miami_moms and @alesya_kivon for guiding me through this hell of a journey. Thank God my surgery was recently approved 🙏🏻 and is coming up. I cannot wait to say goodbye to the toxic bags 👋
