It’s so easy to get caught up in the day to day things and our to do list, but how often do you actually take the time to be present in what you are doing at that exact moment?
.
What a huge difference it can make to focus just on playing with your kids, or taking in what you are eating, or enjoying moving your body.
.
Tell me one thing you’ll commit to doing today to be more mindful!

Tuesday is always a strange day. I leave for ballet class at 11.15, get home at 3 pm, have lunch and a shower and then I'm supposed to have dinner at about 7? Nope! I must admit, 9.30 pm is a bit late, but I went to the cinema with some friends to see "the Shape of Water" an amazing movie. So now that I'm home it's time for a bowl of potatoes/ leeks/ mustard soup. I've used Dutch grainy mustard that is quite spicy and I love it! •

By the way, I'm sorry I've been ignoring Instagram for the past weeks. Just too busy to really cook and stuff. But I promise I'll do better! •

Even on a day where I’m moving so quick it’s messy. It still does its job for me. NUTRITION - ANTIOXIDANTS - PHYTONUTRIENTS - MEAL REPLACEMENT - JUNK FOOD CRAVING BUSTER - AMINO ACIDS - NO ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS - DIGESTIVE ENZYMES - PREBIOTICS - .

WELLNESS – DAY 20: HEALTHY SPIRIT – SPEND TIME WITH NATURE

An important part of a Healthy Spirit – is to spend time in nature. There is no better way to reestablish a connection outside of yourself, than to spend time breathing fresh air, listening to the wind or rain, watching the waves crash, or marveling at the stature and strength of the trees. When we are in nature, we are able to escape from the craziness and busyness of day-to-day life. Contrary to popular belief, life on earth extends far beyond the rat race, towering skyscrapers, the frustration of traffic, and endless options on Netflix. When you make time to spend time in nature – don’t just BE in nature. Marvel at nature. Feel gratitude for all that it is and all that it PROVIDES. Without nature – there is no US. No oxygen. No food. No water. No life. It really is that simple. It is only when we find VALUE in all that NATURE provides and truly realize and KNOW how LIMITED those resources are – that we can make decisions and take action beyond what we currently know and do to change the trajectory of human impact on the planet.
I’m definitely not preaching here. I have lots of things in my own life to change and I openly admit it isn’t always easy. We are accustomed to certain things…to certain ways of living…to certain foods…to behaviours and habits that have been developed over a lifetime. That doesn’t change easily or quickly. But if tomorrow, we were all told a definitive end date – a date at which – oxygen would run out or water would be depleted or growth of plants for food would cease – we would ALL (I like to believe) make changes in our habits IMMEDIATELY. But because the idea of scarcity of resources (oxygen, water, food) seems possible but not likely – we all continue on in the ways we always do. If each of us made only a few changes to our habits – taking public transport, eating plant-based diets more often, tending to the growth of trees and oxygen rich resources (rather than tearing them all down) – imagine the changes we could collectively make.
