| | Beauty in resilience.
I've always been more of a cactus kind of girl.
Only recently have I begun to understand what really draws me to them...
Surrounded by harsh desert climate, the cactus must become resilient in form and function. It's thorns try to deter you from seeing it's true beauty, because it tries to protect itself in order to survive.
The cactus form is to be respected - intricate and delightful, shaded in earthy green tones of humility.
Despite bearing fruit to the most glorious flowers, most don't look beyond its thorns, or past their often hasty desire to strip it and make tequila.
I realized, I am a cactus. #metoo
Could somebody please tell me what this cactus is called? I barely bothered with it and then it randomly flowered which makes me want another one! This happened in May. I had the name of it and googled it- it said that it only flowers for one evening, you can make a wish, and then the flower will die until next season (?). I can't remember what it was called and when I google my description, I don't think the flowers look like my one .
