This is hands down the most brutal, nastiest, most painful fall I’ve ever had and was inches away from being the back of my head. Back in June I was doing the cheerleader outside on the bike path, something I had done a hundred times before. But accidents have a way of happening to even the most seasoned skater, and my hand holding my right leg up high in the air slipped off my wheels and I started to fall backwards on one foot. Somehow, miraculously, my body twisted in the nick of time to land right on my butt cheek. I actually bounced off cement
Needless to say I was severely injured and needed therapy to get the bruise healed up fast so there would be no lasting damage. The weirdest part was the bruise spread and bled up my back and down my legs like they had been hit as well but the impact was solely on the cheek.
As someone that never wears helmet outside it made me a lot more careful and aware that an accident can always happen so be on guard!

Eat less and move more. This is a very dumbed down and generic statement. Whilst true, most people interpret it wrong by believing more is better. “If I need to eat less and move more to lose weight and reach my goals then I should eat ALOT less and move ALOT more.” This belief has been drilled into our heads for years due to the uneducated and/or greedy fitness pros & companies. I see and hear people say this daily.
If it was this easy then everyone would be fit. The issue is that the constant bullshit that is thrown around within the fitness industry creates unrealistic expectations followed by disappointment and confusion.
90% of dieters fail and 90% of dieters try to "eat less and move more" by adopting a variety of these quick fix tactics. Furthermore, only 5% of people keep the weight they lost off.
If you want to be apart of that 5% you need to understand that quick fix diets will NOT work in the long term and in fact will leave you in a worse off position every single time you start a new one.
The best and most effective diet is the one you can see yourself on every day. 5, 10, 20 years down the road. If you can’t, then it’s more likely that you will be apart of the 95%.
This is why I am a huge believer in flexible dieting. Where you are in complete control of your own diet and progress. Whether you want to lose fat or gain muscle, you’ll be in a position to easily manipulate a few variables to get the job done without ever having to eliminate your favourite foods.
