Get moving


I’ve adapted a mindset of getting up a moving. Have down time? Get up and move.


I live in Alaska, so getting out side and walking isn’t very enjoyable 9 months out of the year. But I do work inside and when ever I have a 15-30min break in my schedule I get up and start walking. I try and get at least 10mins of walking in when ever I have time. This started when I was in prep last year and my coach @paulrevelia would have me do 10min walks after every meal.


This gets your blood flowing, digestion moving and helps improve your cardiovascular health. This is a easy thing to start implementing in your daily life. 10min walks after meals have been shown to help control your glucose which will help you properly use your carbohydrates.


I’ve noticed that I am more productive in my day when I get up and walk. Also it allows me to detach from what I was doing, and it helps me focus more once my walk is over.
