The Open is heeeere! 🖤 // I feel like there is SO much pressure and talk on social media about how all of your training over the last year rides on these five weeks - that this is the time to “prove” the sacrifices and hard work were for something. While I love the competitive spirit of the Open and do agree with those statements to an extent - I also want to remind you that it’s okay to participate for FUN. I’m going into this Open knowing I’m NOT better than I was last year - and I am okay with that! Everyone has priorities, and there is nothing wrong with your competitive fitness moving down on that list if that’s what you choose. I still love fitness, I still love CrossFit... but life outside the gym has taken priority and my “extra hours” are not spent working on my fitness anymore. I love that my time there is spent having fun - weightlifting or taking a CF class with my friends! Regardless of how the Open goes, I know that my fitness over the last year wasn’t for “nothing” - it kept me healthy, sane, and in shape for all the great things that went on OUTSIDE of the gym. Having a less impressive finish than years past isn’t something to be embarrassed about or stress over - just a sign of the times! 🤗 I know not everyone feels that way about the Open, but regardless, I hope you all choose to HAVE fun and enjoy the workouts with your friends (amidst the pain 😝). Good luck to everyone who takes on 18.1 this weekend! // so with that - I am #intheopen this year to have fun with my RXD family (specifically #teamstrugglebusers) and to celebrate where I’m at with my fitness and in my life!

I'm doing the Open because I want to face my fears. Everyday my mind is filled with anxiety and self-doubt. Immediately thinking about how I'm going to fail at what I'm about to do. But with RXD crew's motivation and guidance, I was able to push through. I've made it this far with consistency and now I want to finish it!
Pushing myself to join @crossfitrxd took a lot of courage and I'm very happy that I've done so. This is my life now!

Congrats to RXD guys @calinbrammer and @erabe5 for recently getting their first muscle ups! Calin learned his at our Gymnastics Clinic a few weeks ago and he is crushing them now! Earl just got his first one at Renegade the other night, and immediately followed it with another one! Great job guys - can’t wait to see how these will help you rock those Open workouts!

Time is running out! This is your reminder to head to games.crossfit.com and get yourself SIGNED UP for the Open! Not sure what the Open is about?! Check out this graphic - it perfectly sums it up! In addition, this year at RXD we will be having an in-house team competition taking place as well! Every member officially participating in the Open will be drafted to one of three teams, and each week, points will be awarded for completing various tasks. For example, you can earn points for your team by completing the Open workout at Friday Night Lights, for hitting a personal record in a workout, for dressing up as that week’s theme, etc. It will be a blast and we hope ALL of you participate!

She will explain what they are, pros and cons of each, and which one might fit your lifestyle best! She also will have website and app suggestions to help get started with these diets.
