Its Friday! Who here works weekends? And who relaxes? Rachel is really good at turning off and disappearing for the weekend. I could learn a few things from her. I tend to play catch-up. ⠀
We heard today that our books are getting VERY close to being here. We are busy ordering some storage and shelving pieces to help keep things organized and tying up loose ends with packing and shipping materials.⠀
It's such a weird feeling to see all your hard work and long nights actually coming to fruition. #archivetribe#archivepaperco#friyay#freakinweekend#worklifebalance
I am a planner (and a colour coordinator). I write down every appointment, play date, birthday party, work shift, etc. that comes up so I’m always on top of our busy schedule. One thing I’m going to try in March is writing in my workout times. I will treat them like appointments with myself (I can’t cancel that again! - you know, from the grinch?!) and make sure I don’t have any last minute cancellations (even if sleeping in does seem like a good idea). I am also going to start writing in my down time (like Netflix and checking social media, so I’m not overindulging), meal prep time (so it doesn’t get left out, even in a busy weekend), and bedtime (so I am more cognizant of the nights that I can stay up later if I don’t have a morning workout planned). The goal is to use the scheduled times as reminders to show up and do the work, to make sure I allow myself time to do things that set my week up for success (like meal prepping and getting enough sleep) and also to have a visual reminder that there really can be enough hours in the day if I use those hours wisely. .
What do you do to set yourself up for success? .
