"strangers are endearing because you don't know them yet" ~ Dejan Stojanovic
In the "Dose of Inspiration" newsletter this morning we discuss the idea of opening ourselves up to the experience of meeting new people. Of learning their stories. One thing I have learned through my journey with Personal Hero is that there are so many amazing, unique and inspiring people in our world, and I am so very blessed to have crossed paths with some of them! I learn so many fascinating, uplifting and heart warming stories that I would not have learned if I did not put myself in a place to welcome others in. .
This week I challenge you to look for opportunities to meet new people, or get to know some you casually know better. Our world is made up of so many amazing people just waiting for you to get to know! Who knows, that person that was a stranger yesterday might end up being one of your new Personal Heroes tomorrow!
I'd love to hear your thoughts in comments . Are you good at getting to know people? Anyone you would like to learn their story? And if you haven't already done so, please head over to my website and join our awesome community and help me spread love and inspiration to more people

We received this amazing diaper donation for the elderly in our care. Thank you so much to our anonymous donor for caring.
For a frail elderly person without family or finances, life can be a terrifying ordeal. Add other various debilitating physical and mental diseases that affect the elderly, such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, and the options become even more limited.
With Government subsidised homes for the aged stretched to the limit, care of these vulnerable elderly people falls onto the shoulders of organisations such as ours.
We feel that caring for the elderly is a privilege as each one has made a valuable contribution to society in his or her own way.
We are caring for 72 frail elderly, if you wish to donate diapers we would sincerely appreciate it.

#100Daysofgoodstuff Day 29: Good Efforts
Organizations like the ACLU deserve our attention and charitable donations year around, but the recent anxieties have encouraged many, many people to donate when they probably otherwise wouldn’t, meaning the nonprofit received a whopping $24 million in 2016 donations. Keep paying attention and giving where and when you can, even if it’s not monetary. "The ACLU says it got $24 million in online donations this weekend, six times its yearly average"
Link in bio.
If you’re wondering what the ACLU actually does and what they stand for, they consider themselves “Guardians of Freedom”. From their website:
"THREE THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THE ACLU
•We protect American values. In many ways, the ACLU is the nation’s most conservative organization. Our job is to conserve America’s original civic values — the Constitution and the Bill of Rights — and defend the rights of every man, woman and child in this country.
•We’re not anti-anything. The only things we fight are attempts to take away or limit your civil liberties, like your right to practice any religion you want (or none at all); or to decide in private whether or not to have a child; or to speak out — for or against — anything at all; or to be treated with equality and fairness, no matter who you are.
•We’re there for you. Rich or poor, straight or gay, black or white or brown, urban or rural, pious or atheist, American-born or foreign-born, able-bodied or living with a disability. Every person in this country should have the same basic rights. And since our founding in 1920, we’ve been working hard to make sure no one takes them away." #donations#nonprofit#liberty#freedom#american#liberties#supportmatters#donate#dogoodfeelgood#goodstuff#statueofliberty#lettering#script#humanrights#civilliberties#constitution#art#design
