This @makeuprevolution brow pomade is also a new addition in my make-up bag. I got it from @aoro_ro for 44 RON, in the shade Medium Brown.
So far I think it's great, I like it more than the brow kit I was using previously. And the shade is a perfect match
After finding a full display of the new Wet n Wild Mermaid collection, I had to buy the Midnight Moon highlighter even though I ordered one online since it was so pretty in person (and my order won't be here til next Thurs). I am loving the mermaid tail detail & I love how the color in this highlight shifts in different angles
SWIPE LEFT --> I won these gorgeous palettes from #MeasurableDifference a few weeks ago, but have been so busy I haven't had a chance to share them yet. (Link to their website in my profile. I'm not an affiliate.) I've been chomping at the bit to try them out so I had to get this out there tonight so I could dig into them. (Make sure to swipe left to see all the gorgeous pictures.) I didn't do swatches only because I feel they rarely show the true quality of a product. But trust me, these palettes are very rich and colorful! (I can even see using some as eyeshadows!) They are a powder product with a slight creaminess to them. And, from what I can tell so far, not a bunch of kick-up. Yay! I'm leaving town this weekend and taking these bad boys with me. I can't wait to play, and try a new one every day!
Skincare products can be found at every price point, so how do you decide when to splurge and when to save?
Cleanser is one product that can be purchased for low cost at the drugstore, without sacrificing efficacy. A gentle cleanser, like Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, is appropriate for most skin types. Since cleansers make contact with the skin for a short time, this is a great opportunity to save a few dollars and stick with less expensive products. There are also excellent body creams available at the drugstore - our favorite is Cerave Moisturizing Cream, which contains a special blend of ceramides to lock moisture in your skin.
Conversely, antioxidant serums are a great place to splurge a bit. These serums contain high concentrations of potent ingredients, so the most effective ones tend to be a bit pricier. Additionally, some antioxidants are not photostable or can oxidize when they are exposed to air; the packaging and technology that protects against these factors can sometimes drive price up for the best serums. Eye creams are another category to consider splurging on. Peptides that improve the appearance of delicate skin around your eyes can be pricey and you need a unique formula that's gentle, yet moisturizing for this sensitive area. It's important to know when to splurge and when you can head to the drugstore and still get the best results from your skincare!
I've gotten about a dozen questions about this matte Lipcolor since posting my instagram story!! Here's a quick review: @Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor. Color: 610 HD Addiction Dependance @revlon.make.up I found mine at @cvspharmacy They had a great Buy One Get One 50% off deal! I think they retail about $7-8 each. It comes in a lip gloss tube that's shaped kinda funky(a wide oval shaped tube). It goes on really smooth and I love the matte look. It's not kiss-proof but it seems to stain my lips really well and it's lasted most of the day with just a couple touch-ups(I live in DRY Colorado and even in this dry climate it's stayed on well!) I just really like the feel of it. I had such a hard time choosing colors because the selection is soooo good!! My first time trying a matte lip color but I like that it's applied like a gloss and doesn't feel dry. That's my honest review for the slim few of you out there, like me, that buy the occasional drug store beauty product only to be disappointed once you try it at home. I love hearing others reviews or product suggestions!! It saves me from guess work and wasted money!
