It might take some time to overcome our insecurities, but to love all our flaws and strengths, to feel comfortable in our own skin, and to finally embrace our self for who we are is something that worth to fight for.
Averie visited two of our favorite weavers today in Comalapa, Lidia and Esperanza. They are best friends who they live and work together- so we feel a special kinship to them (you know, since we’re best friends who create and work together )

Here is my blackberry linen dress fresh out of the dye pot. I love the depth of colour. I hung it in the camellia beneath my old oak overnight and was surprised to find it dry in the morning. Is this piece finished? Will it ever be finished? I dyed some linen thread with the same blackberries with iron and am thinking to do some stitch work on it. I also have some of the same linen dyed in the original cherry dye pot I might stitch onto it. But for now I can’t resist wearing it
