The prison industrial complex at work. 72 straight hour shifts and still no prison reform/abolishment in this country. Open your eyes usa the devastating truths are in front of us every moment of everyday. These fires are worse than ever because of shit land management and poor ethics when it comes to ecological needs, and now we are implementing modern slavery to help save corporations money and put even more lives at risk. Take action now in every way you can, and believe we can be the change towards a healthy future #13amendment#amendment13#ecology#peace
Excited to be in Sydney to present our #BuoyantEcologies research at “Sustaining the Seas: Fish, Oceanic Space, and the Politics of Caring,” a conference convened by the Sustainable Fish Lab at @sydney_uni. The Buoyant Ecologies project, a collaboration with Margaret Ikeda, Evan Jones, the Benthic Lab at Moss Landing Marine Laboratories, and Kreysler & Associates, seeks to develop material strategies for coastal resilience. This photograph by Dan Gossard shows one of our ecological substrate prototypes installed underwater in Monterey Bay, successfully creating habitats for a diverse range of invertebrates.
