As you can see I'm not too happy about not being able to do deadlifts past 135lbs. I'll have to invest in some straps with a hook... Other than that I'm pretty much a legatron. Can't spell "legendary" without "leg." >
Today's #workoutroutine .
You guessed it! Squats: 1x5 all the way to 255 lbs, 5x5 at 255 lbs, 1x5 at 275 lbs, 1x5 at 285 lbs, 1x3 at 295 lbs, for safety reasons I called it quits at 325 lbs, 5x5 close stance at 155 lbs, 1x30 at 135lbs (aimed for 40, but I burned out). Now this looks like tons of volume, but I had a surplus of carbs the past 3 days and @yulisa_nava 's voice is stuck in my head: I have to "train so" I " don't have chicken legs." I always train legs. Amazing pump on my quads btw.
over head press: 5x10 at 75 lbs, 5x5 at 95 lbs. (Maxing out Friday)
deadlift: stopped at 185lbs too much stress on my stitches.
iso rows: 10x10 45 lbs on each side.
bench press: 10x10 95 lbs - 135lbs, reverse grip 3x10 at 95lbs.
cable low to high: 4x12 pyramid to 50 lbs. Amazing chest pump
cable bicep curls: 3x8 at 50lbs
tricep pull down: 5x12 at 100lbs
barbell curls: 5x12 alternate sets with reverse grip at 40lbs.
isolated bicep curls: 5x12 weight varied aimed for reps and failure.
over head barbell tricep extension: 3x12 at 40lbs.
People at the new gym I go to look at me like they've never seen/done compound lifts??? I've only seen one other person do compound lifts. (Plenty of terrible ones so I don't count them).
What a great way to end an incredible Monday You had a choice when you woke up this morning...Get caught up into what everyone is so worried about or get better and become the change others want. This group smashed leg day. I was getting light headed at the end and yet we all pushed through Great job crew! We are 24Fit!!
I was actually excited to workout today! That cold last week knocked me out, but I'm back and ready to crush these workouts.
This is the time of year when I usually get way off track because school is crazy busy and summer is over. I'm not letting that happen this year! I have my accountability group to help me stay on track with my workouts and my nutrition!
