When was the last time you expressed yourself freely; you poured your heart out; or even acknowledged what was in your heart? This last year has been a rocky road with some very intense and disturbing incidents. As a Healer and life coach, I realised I needed to reach out too. I knew there were some emotional issues I needed to deal with and some creative blocks I had to breakthrough.
Art therapy was my choice. To be honest it was more because I thought it would be fun and games and maybe all the drama within me will be dealt with without me even knowing. Let me tell you straight up that’s not the case. Every stroke of water colour has pushed and pulled the energy within me. Putting that brush on paper makes you connect with your emotions in a very different way. It can be intense or it can be liberating. Either way you will feel and process all you need to.
Noodles with sizzling prawns and a parsley topping. This all to pair with a Dutch white wine called "bergdorpje" from winery St. Martinus in Limburg. This wine is made from Solaris, Muscaris and Johanniter. Good accidity, that pairs really great with the spicyness of this dish. It makes the wine pretty fruity I have to say. It withstands its grounds with al those flavours, you are absolutely in for some exitement if your willing to try this. This is a terroir expressive wine, lot of minerality from the marl grounds in Limburg, Holland (South of Holland). Nice to visit the winery sometimes. .
How to make the dish?! Really easy!! Chop up 6 gloves of garlic, 1 tsp chiliflakes, 1 tsp smoked paprika powder, zest from 1 lime and the juice from 1 lime, 5 tbs EVOO, let this all together boiling hot into a frying pan. Then ad 1cup chickenstock and 20 big prawns let it boil for 5 minutes or so and it down! For topping fresh chopped parsley. You can dip nice chrusty bread into it or you can make your noodles like this or do whatever you want to pair it with. It tastes fab!! .
