The journey of practicing yoga is different for everyone. It can be experienced through philosophy, meditation, pranayama, or asana each day. Some people will find fulfillment in practicing any form of yoga in a few moments each day and others will desire hours of them all. However you bring yoga into your day, know that you have a lifetime to practice and connect with yourself. It is a magical journey. Let the desire to fill your heart help you find a consistency that flows with you.
Showing Appreciation and Love to Others~ We all enjoy receiving love and appreciation, right?! But what about giving it? I’ve read and heard many places that the more love we give, the more fulfillment we feel, it fills our cup so to speak. A simple smile, touch or gesture. It all mounts up for us and those around us. It just feels good.
Simple ways I show love and appreciation for others:
~If I’m feeling an overflowing sense of love or appreciation for someone I tell them, write them or just fill myself with that feeling if it is someone who has passed or someone I have a disconnect with.
~Sending birthday cards. When I first get my day planner for the year, I put all my siblings birthdays in it (expand if and when you can, I have 4 of them, so do what you can, plus my dad) and I write it down a week before so I get their cards out on time. Sorry brother, I missed putting them in my calendar this year, yet, but I did tell him I loved him on his day.
~Whenever you are out and about smile at the cashier or the woman struggling with her children, tell her you’ve been there or that it will get better. Simple ways sometimes have the biggest impact.
~Read and apply what is in the book: “How to Win Friends & Influence People” by Dale Carnegie circa 1936. That is where I got the birthday idea. It took a couple years to fully apply it, but once you get there, it just feels good and right. Some of you probably already adopted it from a parent who sends out cards to everyone. Let’s commit to telling others when we feel a deep and meaningful love for them, even if it is a stranger, especially a stranger that seems to be having a hard time. Let’s try to make their day that much brighter. How have you shown your love or appreciation lately? Post below OR go out and DO IT and post here!!!
Only God’s love can truly make us feel full. Lots of times we find ourselves filling the void in our hearts with worldly things. For example, sports, guys/girls, school, or whatever the cool thing may be. But eventually those things will fade and God’s love will be the only thing remaining...♡ ♡ ♡#letsbehappy#filledwithlove#godslove
