A fun little lower body circuit to try!
To grow your glutes I’d recommend doing heavy low rep weighted barbel hip thrusts before these exercises!
Weighted step ups - Great for your quads and glutes! (For muscle or strength building id recommending heavier weight, Lower reps - for higher endurance or cardio style training I’d recommend lower weights higher reps).
Bench Jump Over - Great to keep that heart rate up to burn more calories (good for if you’re trying to cut).
Single Leg Hip Thrust - Great for glutes and hamstrings as well as your core! (I encorporate these to strengthen my core due to my lower back issues).
Squat Pulse Jumps - Again a good exercise to include to increase heart rate and burn more calories in your workout.
Let me know if you give it a go! #workout#lowerbody#bootyworkout
Pre workout toast with all the goods Leg day this morning was pretty intense working on progressive overload & getting STRONGER At first, I wanted to workout to look good, but now I workout to be stronger and actually FEEL good Once you start making it a habit, it’s so addicting! #cantstopwontstop
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 pound steak*
2 tablespoons olive oil
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
6 large eggs
6 cups baby spinach
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1 cup Fisher Nuts Pecan Halves
1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium high heat.
Using paper towels, pat both sides of the steak dry. Drizzle with olive oil; season with salt and pepper, to taste.
Add steak to the skillet and cook, flipping once, until cooked through to desired doneness, about 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Let cool before dicing into bite-size pieces.
Place eggs in a large saucepan and cover with cold water by 1 inch. Bring to a boil and cook for 1 minute. Cover eggs with a tight-fitting lid and remove from heat; set aside for 8-10 minutes. Drain well and let cool before peeling and dicing.
To assemble the salad, place spinach into meal prep containers; top with arranged rows of steak, eggs, tomatoes, pecans and feta.
Serve with balsamic vinaigrette, or desired dressing.
Breakfast is an update on smoked salmon and lox - this time I’m using multigrain thin buns toasted with @laughingcowcanada cheese, smoked salmon, spinach and egg whites topped with capers. A satisfying breakfast to #fueltheday with healthful fats, protein and complex carbohydrates.
I had one of the best lower body pumps today training with my girl @sjguamsie♀️
My left glute has been feeling tight this past week so I lightened my squat load a bit and focused on depth... Honestly, I couldn’t be happier with how I felt. I was able to get pretty low and feel full engagement with no pain
