Growing Pinto Beans
My goal this year is to grow lots of beans.
I boil them and give RJ bean soup RJ also likes to snap the pods while green and pop them in his mouth. Kids love harvesting these.
Pinto Beans take about 90 to 150 days to grow as a dry bean but can be harvested and eaten earlier as a snap green bean. They require very little care but do need a little more space between plants (they are bush plants) these babies do not do well as transplants so be sure to do a direct sow and remember these need lots of sun so long summer days are perfect for growing.
Ps: my manicure and makeup may not always be on point; but my kids healthy eating habits are Little Ron is a picky eater but I have found ways to keep him nourished and healthy.
Now, if I could only figure out Bella’s asthma .... #urbangardening
