It's crazy how reading can make you feel more empowered. It changes your mindset for the better.
And with that said remember it's never too late to change the course of your life. If you choose to get over your doubts, and trust that you can, believe me, you can do anything that you set your mind to!

On Wednesday, a day after his 69th birthday, 50 years after surviving as a Navy Corpsman in Vietnam, a man I call my "adopted" dad had a heart attack while trying to square up his dying sister's estate. He was over 700 miles from home in Minneapolis. Had he been at home, I would be planning his funeral. Instead he was at a hospice center when he had his heart attack. Surrounded by nurses and doctors who got EMS there immediately and was transported to the beat cardiac hospital in the state. He was release yesterday. Today I brought him home. I woke up at 3:30 am. I boarded a plane at 6:20 am. We took off at 6:30 am and landed an hour and fifteen minutes later in Minneapolis 8:45 am local time (7:45 am my time). Doug, Bob, and I had a very good breakfast at Yum. We headed west at 10:00 am local (9:00 am my time). We stopped every 100 miles so Doug could walk around a bit. We stopped to see Dignity and ate dinner in Chamberlain, and made it back to my house at 10:00 pm. I literally flew a state and a half and then drove a state in a half in one day. When we got close to Spearfish and I knew we'd be home, I just started laughing thinking at how insane that is. I need to thank the Big Man upstairs for giving me the stamina to do all of that on 5.5 hours of sleep. Lord, you kept me going and kept us safe! You allowed us to get home, so I still have two days to complete stuff for the event next weekend. Thank you for Lynn who drove me to the airport, for Kim who watched my dogs and was ready to stay the night if needed, and Bob who picked me up. THANK YOU SO MUCH LORD! I LOVE YOU! And thank you for the great surprise seeing my friend Charlie from Rapid City 30 miles east of Worthington, MN at a random gas station we made a last minute decision to stop at! It was a long day, but a great day filled with great conversation the entire 12 hours on the road! #GodsPlan#ILoveGod#HeIsMySavior#ThankYouJesus#GodIsGood#GodIsFaithful#GodsWork#FollowerOfJesus#Believe#Faith#Hope#Love#FueledByGod#Navy#NavyCorpsman#Marines#Charlie34
