The Soirée will support @wpa_nyc's brand new workforce readiness program!! Working It Out (WIO) is a gender-specific work readiness and employment program designed for women ages 18 and older who are on probation, court-referred, or enrolled in an alternative to incarceration program in New York City. The program’s goal is to eliminate barriers that have prevented justice-involved women from obtaining and maintaining employment. WIO staff prepare women to enter the workforce with confidence and continued support, and work directly with employers to connect clients to employment based on their skills and interests. .

Any ideas what this is?
I will save you the guesses and
tell you. This is a school in Cambodia.
While that sinks in, let me tell you a bit about it.
It's far off the beaten path (which is why it is like this)
It is small.
It is made of tin (which gets REALLY HOT in hot hot Cambodia)
There are gaps between the walls and the roof so rain comes in. And bugs. And more dirt.
50 students go to school here.
They learn to read and write and about value and worth and that they have a God that loves them.
About 2 years ago there was no learning going on here, because there was no funding for a teacher. But because of partners there are now 2 Cambodians teaching here and impacting this community.
Mission 25 has an incredible opportunity to partner with these teachers, the local pastor, and the village leaders to build a 2 room, well made school here.
It's pretty simple: education = change.
But what is amazing is this community is excited and wanting this school too!
Our dear partners in Cambodia were able to get some materials to this community to make the awesome bracelets we posted about yesterday. The community learned how to make them and they made 500 of them... Because they did this they -learned a new skill - they earned $ for their family -they assisted in raising $ for this school!
We will share more ways to partner with Mission 25 to get this school built and running, but in the meantime I hope you will consider purchasing one or two (or ten!) bracelets. They're $10 a piece and every dime from the sale of these bracelets goes into this community.
Visit the link in our profile for purchasing info... we are so excited about this, and we hope you will consider supporting this effort in this simple way #cambodia#pursat#bracelet#change#educationmatters#educationchangeslives#educationchangeseverything#education#fundraiser#changealife#changeagent
