#Stratia Velvet Cleansing Milk : Rinses clean without stripping the skin. WR
#gardenofwisdom 8% Lactic Acid Exfo Pads : Effective without being harsh given the low pH. I'm not a fan of the pads as they are too abrasive and I felt there wasn't enough liquid. WNP
#LJH Tea Tree 90 Essence : My second bottle and the third one is on the way. I always doubt this product but once it's gone I realize how much I enjoy it. It won't prevent acne but it's soothing and hydrating. RP
#DHC Lip Cream : I like that it stays on the lips unlike other lip balms. WR
#Larocheposay Toleriane Facial Fluid (np) : My second bottle. Lightweight, perfect by itself in the warmer months and mixed with other products in the cooler months. I'm holding out on repurchasing as I have other products I want to try/am testing out. WR
Hello lady and gentleman Face Freaks. Mostly everyone is mostly better. Thanks for all your well wishes. I'm really hoping we will all be fine in two days for the weekend so we can get out and explore more of the city!
Today's #pmroutine started with a first cleanse with #thebodyshop's Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter, then a second cleanse with #clinique's Extra-Mild Facial Cleansing Soap (it definitely smells like white Ivory bar soap to me ). Next I swiped my face with a half of an #acidtoner pad from the lovely #gardenofwisdom's line: their 8% Lactic Acid in water. This was one of the last times I used this product. While I like it very much, now I know that it's not compatible with NIOD's Copper Amino Isolate Serum, and definitely too acidic for my morning uses of The Ordinary's EUK134 antioxidant.
Regardless, I did use it that evening and nobody died. It probably made the effects of Copper Amino Isolate Serum pretty much nil. After that I spritzed with #joshrosebrook's Hydrating Accelerator, which I now know doesn't work on my face. It makes my eyes freak out, and makes my skin red and blotchy. This was the last time I used it, and I only did as a last test, to see if it really had been the culprit of my recent irritation. Sadly it was. I had to rehome everything I had from his line. Thankfully they were only travel sizes, which I so appreciate he offers. Not every thing will work for every person. After I spritzed, I applied three thin stripes of #deciem's #niod#cais, then my half half combo of pre-mixed NIOD MMHC2 and Hylamide's SubQ Anti-Age. I swapped over to my eyes and used #lashserum, NIOD's FECC on my left eye and Hylamide's SubQ Eyes on my right, and #purlisse's Blue Lotus 4 in 1 Eye Adore Serum on top of everything.
Last face applications were #misshakorea's Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule, and NIOD's Survival0.
I hope you all have fantastic last bits of your week. Hugs from Beijing! #pmskincare#pmskincareroutine #skincare#skincareroutine#skincarejunkie#skincareaddict#skincarecommunity#shotoncanon#skinstagram#instaskincare#deciemmademedoit#carolinehironsmademedoit#deciemaddicts #deciemchatroom
One. More. Day, Face Freaks! I think tonight will be the most difficult, trying to sleep before something this big is torment, don't you agree?
I have such an interesting #pmroutine for you today. New products I was very excited to try, and some of them didn't work well for me, which was so, so disappointing! I started with new-to-me #facecleanser from #deciem's #hylamide line: High Efficiency Face Cleaner, which is a slippery liquid and dang good at removing makeup, especially waterproof mascara. It burned my eyes that first use and made me suspicious that perhaps we might not get along, but I pressed on to the next cleanser--also a new product for me (and here's where I was stupidly impatient and should have stopped and used something tried and true). #joshrosebrook's line of skincare is highly favored among so many, and I'd been wanting to try some of his things for a long time. I bought a few and this was my first time using two. I applied his Complete Moisture Cleanse and was surprised by the texture (a bit wetter than many cleansers while still being sort of creamy feeling) and the scent which is really distinctive of all of the things I tried of his, highly herbaceous notes, and slightly licorice smelling. It felt nice enough, and I moved on in my routine. I swiped my face with an #acidtoner pad from #gardenofwisdom--Lactic Acid 8%. It's a very low pH of 1.9, and now I know it's really too low to use with CAIS later in my routine. But at the time I wasn't aware. Now, I would only use them if I wasn't going to use CAIS (yeah that's never going to happen! ) but it is a great pad for those who aren't invested in CAIS and want a really clean product (two ingredients...Lactic Acid and water). Next I spritzed with the one product I'd been hard core heart throbbing over trying: Josh's Hydrating Accelerator #hydratingmist. This product is definitely on a lot of people's cannot-live-without-list, and if you're not sensitive to essential oils, it might be on yours too. I didn't think I was sensitive to essential oils, but there is something in Josh's products that (sadly, sadly, sadly) made my skin so dang angry.
I also took this picture and really like the view but as you can see, it's against the light so I had to edit it heavily with ambience that's why I didn't post it first and I'm not really that proud of it BUT this place holds a lot of memories and is precious to me and half of the people in my class as we pretty much claimed this spot in the school right after our orientation camp in the school when we first joined the school. We would always hang out here during our breaks and after school, talk and eat here. We would even take out food from seven eleven or MacDonalds and come back to school and eat here. It's called 'the garden of wisdom' , ironic how it doesn't make us smarter. We(half of our class who always hang out here) only found out the name halfway through the first year we were in school. #scenery#sceneryshots#nature#garden#hangoutplace#hangout#school#building#modern#gardenofwisdom#memories
Hellooooooo, Face Freaks! We wrapped all the kids' presents last night to make sure everyone's piles looked even. We wanted to make sure we could snag something today if we had to. Luckily we did a good job and no further shopping is necessary! Are you also as lucky, or running out today for last minute items?
Today's #pmroutine is from the seventh night in a row of prescription strength Retin-A from several weeks ago.
I began with #pixiskincare's @carolinehirons' #doublecleanse. I used both sides since I was definitely removing sunscreen from the day. (Merry Christmas, Caroline. You changed my skin this year. I'm so very grateful. ) Next, I used #gardenofwisdom's Lactic #acidtoner pads; they're strong, and maybe not the best choice to also use during the same routine as Tret. But my face didn't fall off, and I was fine. I misted with #deciem's #hylamide Hydra Density #hydratingmist, and immediately applied three thin stripes of #niod Copper Amino Isolate Serum on top (I now know that the pH of the acid I used that night was probably not a good fit to use in conjunction with CAIS. 1.9 pH on the acid + 5.5 pH on the mist= 3.7 pH in a perfect world. That's pretty acidic and even the new version of CAIS wouldn't be happy working its magic there. So I digress...it's not a perfect routin. But there isn't a perfect routine. Just learning as I go and looking for good results.
Anyhow, after that, I applied my half half combo of pre-mixed NIOD MMHC2 and #Hylamide's SubQ Anti-Age, then let it dry to work on my eyes: #lashserum top and bottom, NIOD Fractionated Eye Contour Concentrate on my left eye and Hylamide's SubQ Eyes on my right, and #purlisse's Blue Lotus 4 in 1 Eye Adore Serum to finish off everything. Lastly, I smeared on some #retina (Tretinoin 0.025 %) and NIOD Survival0 for its antioxidant and blue light repelling abilities.
Have a wonderful day today, Freaks! #pmskincare#pmskincareroutine #skincare#skincareroutine#skincarejunkie#skincareaddict#skincarecommunity#shotoncanon#skinstagram#instaskincare#deciemmademedoit#carolinehironsmademedoit#deciemaddicts #deciemchatroom
This was my Black Friday splurge. I've been using @gardenofwisdomskincare since 2012 and it's the only brand that my skin will tolerate. They are a small business based in Arizona that makes clean, potent, and most importantly, affordable skincare products for all types of skin.
I tried switching up to drugstore natural products and my skin wasn't looking its best.
I love that they use clean ingredients and you can choose to opt out of the preservative.
-Soothing Creme Cleanser
-Coco-Basil Clarifying Tonic
-Oh No! What did I do to my skin Serum
-Fruity Meow Meow Facial Lotion (no cats included)

Hi, Face Freaks! I hope you had a wonderful Saturday. We had a nice day. My toddler son peed on the floor in the middle of a store, poor kid! Normal mom stuff.
Today's still life is a #pmroutine from the third night of using prescription strength Retin-A. I started off with #clinique's Take the Day Off cleansing balm, which is a great, unscented powerhouse at removing makeup. It's softer in texture than my favorite @thebodyshop Sumptuous Camomile Cleansing Butter, and @carolinehirons' @pixibeauty#doublecleanse first side #facecleanser. Next I used a trial portion from #truebotanicals, their Hydrating Cleanser. I would not personally use this again, because for me it felt too foaming, and I try to avoid that. (However, their Renew Oil is GORGEOUS. GORGEOUS!!! They offer samples on their website for the price of postage, and I highly recommend you snag one for yourself to try!) Next I used the lovely American company #gardenofwisdom's 8% Lactic Acid pads, no faff, no nonsense, just power. After that I spritzed with #larocheposay's #serozinc#hydratingmist, and immediately applied three thin stripes of #deciem's #niod Copper Amino Isolate Serum and rubbed it in everywhere over my still damp face. After CAIS comes my happy place half half mixture of NIOD's MMHC2 and #hylamide's SubQ Anti-Age, and then a series of eye treatments interspersed with the Tretinoin 0.025%, and #misshakorea's Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule, which are NIOD's Fractionated Eye Contour Concentrate on my left eye and Hylamide's SubQ Eyes on my right, #lashserum on both lash lines, and #firstaidbeauty's 5 in 1 #eyecream with a little bit of rose scent and retinol. Lastly I used Dr Esho's Drench #liptreatment by Deciem, and their Hand Chemistry #handcream. My review for the first is linked on my bio.
Well hello again, Face Freaks! Yesterday was crazy: migraine, kid looked suspiciously like she had chicken pox, little dude tried to give himself a concussion. You know, normal fun mom stuff! @jordansamuelskin had a stiff drink last night according to his stories, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a cider as well.
On to today's #pmroutine from a while ago. I started with #clinique's Take the Day Off, a favorite of many of you participating in #skinemmies2017. Then for my second cleanse I used #truebotanicals' Clear Collection Hydrating #facecleanser from a sample for the first time. I know that Frankincense is supposed to be very helpful for acne, but it is the leading note in this cleanser, which also foamed a bit too much for my taste. There was enough in the packet for three cleanses, but I couldn't use it more than once. (I adore one of their oil blends, btw, so they really do make some beautiful things!) Next I used #gardenofwisdom's 8% Lactic #acidtoner pads, spritzed with #artnaturals' Mineral Water Cooling Spray, and immediately applied #deciem's #niod Copper Amino Isolate Serum to a damp face in three small stripes and gently rubbed it in everywhere including eyes.
Then my half half duo of pre-mixed NIOD MMHC2 and #Hylamide's SubQ Anti-Age went on in three small drips and got the same treatment as CAIS.
I allowed that to dry and started on my eyes: #lashserum, NIOD's FECC on my left eye and Hylamide's SubQ Eyes on my right, a tiny bit of The Ordinary's Advanced Retinoid 2 % Emulsion, and later Clinique's Repairwear Laser Focus #eyecream (which I'm very excited I finally decided to order. I used up my sample in the interim of shooting pictures and I've missed it!) Back to my face: smeared on a generous amount of Tretinoin 0.025%, and also used NIOD's Survival0 with #misshakorea's Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule. I definitely didn't need a separate moisturizer after all of that!

Now we know that this is a category that is beyond hard for some of us #skincarejunkies@myskinandstyle put it perfectly today that skincare takes an ensemble! .
Ok but for the fun of the challenge, I thought I would post two products that have really changed my skin. Carrot a day by @earthwisebeauty (topical vit a in the form of carrot seed) and Eternal Youth Elixir by @gardenofwisdomskincare (peptides, ceramides, nicinamide, super oxide dismutase) So these are two brands I don't want to live without because of these two products! .
Ok now, for my skincare theme, I paired them with JT and Jessica Biel cuz they are a gorgeous, funny and down to earth (seeming) couple. Plus Jessica looks amazing in this dress.
