People ask me all the time... do you really make money washing your hair?
Yes... yes I do!
But it’s obviously more than that too!
It’s waking up In the morning and deciding that you will work your business whether you feel like it or not.
It’s making a decision to CHANGE! Change is uncomfortable, but it’s the only way to GROW.
It’s dropping the excuses that get you nowhere, and taking responsibility for you life choices.
It’s facing adversity, hate, negativity and disbelief.
It’s working on your mindset and your relationships everyday.
It’s learning to be a better human being.
It’s working hard, because you realize that success is not an overnight thing!
The thing is, I get told daily that people want to change their life, but their actions don’t match their words. Most of the time people that say they don’t have time are the same ones asking for new Netflix shows to watch. Most of the times the ones that say they don’t have money are the same ones going out to dinner everyday or buying unnecessary things that only give you pleasure for a short period of time. Most of the time the people that say they can’t sell, are out there selling their ideas/opinions to other people everyday!
The deal is... success takes ACTION!
Wishing you had more time, more money, more freedom isn’t going to help you.
But making a decision to do something that will take you to those goals, that’s what makes a difference! Successful people aren’t LUCKY! They work dang hard everyday and they take CHANCES!
Had I not taken chances I would not be a work from home dog mom (this was always something I wanted, but NEVER thought possible)
Had I not taken chances, I would not be super close to earning a free car! Luxury car at that
Had I not taken chances I wouldn’t be earning a free trip to the Bahamas this year
Had I not taken chances I would still be depressed and lost!
I’m not special. I’m not unique. I’m not privileged. I just made a simple decision to start this business venture!
Are you ready to do the same?
When I watched the movie The Martian for the first time a few weeks ago, this speech by ‘Mark Watney’ at the end of the movie really resonated with me. At some point in all of our lives (most likely at many points), we are going to feel like it’s the end... maybe not the literal end, but the feeling that you just can’t do it, that you can’t push through or hold on any longer, or maybe the feeling that you don’t even know how to get out of a situation you feel stuck in or move forward on something you’re excited about.
Now, you can either stay stuck, accept a fate that looks bleak or you can get to work and take one step forward. You can solve one problem. Then the next one, then the one after that...you can keep moving forward, one step at a time
In my work with clients, people often get stuck because they can’t see how they are going to do ‘it’ whatever the big it is. They can’t see how they are going to get ‘there’ wherever there is. But let’s be honest, we are rarely, if ever, able to see every step along the way. Sometimes, all you can do is put one foot in front of the other, take the next step you can see, and the one after that...and the one after that... and before you know it, you’re on your way out of being stuck and towards achieving your hopes, goals dreams and desires. So what’s your next step?!
PS... if you haven’t watched the movie, it’s incredibly inspiring! #nextstep#gettowork#solvetheproblem#yougotthis#themartian#markwatney
Call from school saying my son was sick- picked him up and he was all of a sudden better. Father/son day at work- nacho barrel for lunch and then he did my social media set up with the care package from @freeholdbrewing - thanks Travis.
