Our ol' 18-year-old Peanut kitty, born under our house back in 1999, had a stroke late last night. We set him free from his failing body earlier this afternoon.
I really wish we all could have loving hands hold our heads and comfort us with love and take us out of our misery when our bodies fail too. It is one of the best gifts we can give our furkids when it's time-- and again, I wish it could be that simple and benevolent for us human kinds.
Even in our deep sadness over the loss of these two beloved furkids (Lulu back in April) we giggled to think of Lu's first thought as she lounges in the ever-after and Peanut walks over to instantaneously annoy her.
She always hated Peanut.
He knew it but pretended he had NO idea (and look at Hanky in the background)..
Rest in punkness, Peen, our ol' boy, our 90's kid. #peanutseconds#90skitty#seniorcat#gingerkitty#gingercat#luluseconds#orangetabby#doghatescat
