Step 1. Believe it
Step 2. Do the “dirty” work
Step 3. Experience different levels of failure
Step 4. Learn from it/them and do better
Step 5. Hit a small goal
Step 6. Work towards your next small goal.
Step 7. REPEAT
If you believe success is supposed to be quick and you complain about the effort it takes to get there, then chances are you aren’t made for success yet. When you see someone successful, you see them after years of repeating the process above. Don’t ask why it was so easy for someone else to lose the weight or hit a new PR. That’s an insult to them, as if they didn’t put in the same amount of work that you feel you’re doing. THEY PUT IN MORE.
Success comes easy for almost no one. You can (and should) enjoy the process, but if all you want is the outcome and don’t like the road that takes you there, then either pave a new road or find a different destination.
