#riseayiti Côtes-de-Fer is a small seaside village in Haiti. If Haiti's shape is viewed as an alligator with an open mouth facing West. Côtes-de-Fer is right under it's jaw. The town was strongly hit by the catastrophic 2010 earthquake especially due to its isolation. It has mountains to its north, villages to its west, and desolate open fields and river to its east, it was difficult to send aid through. Living in such a beautiful place but with little economic opportunity, ravaging earthquake, then hurricane in 2012 keeps the people wanting for stability. <tag source> #haiti#homeland#ancestors#tothediaspora

Dear body...I love you.
“These physical and emotional changes are what helps guide us through the postpartum period. We must listen and honor these shifts and adjustments our body is making. By listening to the transition, from women to mother, we can better adapt to our new parental reality.” On another note - That “i don’t know if i should smile or cry” face! Piyo kicked my butt this morning but I’m here for it! I’m ready to get back in the groove of things. Not rushing this process, it took me nine months to make a beautiful child and it will take me that much longer to get my body backLet’s do this!!!
