Lifting has seriously made me not give a f#*k and embrace everything i am and just be #happy my body can do what it does. So i #eat and i #lift aaaand i wear short shorts lol.
Can we also just take a second to appreciate this awesomeness of the chick in the squat rack next to me? I was just in my own head enjoying my lifts when i looked over and saw i think 90kgs? on the bar. Often when you see that the squats arent full depth but she was sinkin em! 💪👍❤️ it made me happy and i made a point to tell her how good they were. Dream numbers right there to be reppin 90s!! Turns out she does powerlifting too ❤️ anyhoo! Always great to be inspired by strong women 💪 great to meet you @deannaa95 😊 keep smashing it!

Max squat day! Been stuck around the 130's for a while and today I finally hit 140, 145 (shown) and I was soooo close to getting 150! But without my coach @cjferguson_perth I think I still would be stuck around the 130's. With every program so far I've been able to hit a 10kg PB 😊

First 2 on the right are high bar, Last two are low bar

What's the different between the two other than high being more difficult🤔
📎Low squat is few inches further down on your back and high bar is few inches higher
📎The range of motion for a high bar is more than a low bar even though it seems as the same
📎5-15% of squatters prefer low bar because they find it's more comfortable and they can squat more weight ( good for powerlifters)
📎Low bar doesn't train hamstring on the eccentric part of the movement as much as the high bar squat ( squats aren't great for training hamstring anyways , but they do play some little part)
📎High bar challenges hip extensors since bar is closer to fulcrum

When your day is just going to shits. Deficits started off good then it went downhill from there. Last rep in the last set I just couldn’t anymore. 1&1/4 squats were a disaster. 3rd Set in I just bombed and I couldn’t get back up so I just sat there. Coach was like you can just drop it off your back you know?! ..I just didn’t want to move, plus it was quite comfortable sitting there atg with 60kgs on your back! 😂😂😂🤷‍♀️
